| The
medium-grain yellowish-brown biotite-muscovite granite from the Upper Carboniferous
period is extracted from the Epprechtstein quarry in the Wunsiedel district
of Bavaria. Due to the favourable geological conditions at this location,
dimensional stones measuring up to 8 m³ can be produced. Epprechtstein
granite is particularly valued for stone facades and flooring as well
as for solid stone structures because of its characteristic colour and
texture. |
